Caitlin Jochym is a book conservator and artist in Endicott, NY. She has worked in the field of conservation for 15 years and specializes in the restoration of books and paper. She holds a graduate degree in Book Studies with a concentration in book and paper conservation from the University of Iowa. For the past ten years she has also worked in the conservation lab at Cornell University repairing bound materials for the Cornell Rare and Manuscript Collections. She started her private practice, The Black Finch Bindery in 2013 and since then has done work for museums, historical societies, booksellers, and the general public. Her artwork has been included in several exhibits and has been exhibited around the country. She is a long standing member of the Guild of Book Workers and is a Professional Member of The American institute for Conservation.
